"Fireflies?" Hubert murmured, sounding amused.
Edelgard scanned the brush around the clearing as if one would light up at any moment. "I had never seen them before, and I wanted to catch one so badly, but..." She'd run after the insects, clapping her hands where they had lit up, but they were always empty. She swore she remembered seeing one up close– the sleek, black body with lovely red wings, an insect dressed in Adrestian colors. "I'm afraid I can remember nothing more."
The grass crunched softly beside her, and Hubert was there, surveying the field with her. "If you saw them here before, then perhaps they might show themselves again."

Summary
The SPENCER unit LE-0T is a highly advanced prototype Combat/Escort robot commissioned by Moreau. After five years as the boogeyman of the underworld and the coveted prize of every technophile, the robot gets stuck in a crash loop and is sent to be scrapped for parts.
Parker isn't about to let that happen to a pretty thing she can steal, particularly when she still needs to find a Christmas present for Hardison. But can the thief and her hacker boyfriend learn the cause of the malfunction before the SPENCER self-destructs?

“Nate,” Eliot says to the shame-ridden control freak. “Shut the fuck up, put your hands in my hair, and pull.”
“See, Soph,” Eliot says to the professional manipulator with no personal life, “of course you know how to imply what you want. To lead me to it, like a mark. But this isn’t a job. You can just tell me.”
“Parker, look,” Eliot says to the oblivious sadist. “Pain is a…it’s a sensual thing for me, usually. Sexual, even. Neither of us has to do anything about it, but I’ll probably react. And I’m fine with you having that effect on me. I just want to make sure you are.”
“Damn it, Hardison,” Eliot says to the obnoxiously affectionate service dom. “Fine. We’re not completely incompatible, you’re just edgeplay.”
“I don’t go under,” Eliot says to everyone.
Five times Eliot hit the end of his rope with his damn team full of dominants. And one time he didn’t.
