Simultaneously, he just wants to take care of the kid he spent so long preparing for on Alpha Earth.
Dirk is internally torn to shreds in all the predictable ways, hating the man he was as Dave’s bro, and forced to see him every day because of their living situation. Aside from that, he can’t help but get the feeling something else is going on, as he keeps zoning out and losing time.
Around them, the rest of their friends also attempt to pick up their own pieces.

Cyber City is not exactly a quiet place to live. Technology has reached new heights, which is great for humanity as a whole, but not so great for Jimmy Solidarity, who has lost his job in the print shop and is struggling to get back on his feet.
At least his roommates are there to help him keep afloat.
And if his new job seems a little weird, then that's not his problem.
His bills won't pay themselves, after all.

A gimmick that the others easily played into. Until Grians stance against him became to hostile (Scars too, though he held back more)
People got hurt, people apologised, the Hermits moved on.
