Summary
After hearing rumors of a mysterious mask and the deaths that surround it, Izuku and his friends break into the old abandoned wing at a local high school in hopes of landing themselves a spot in their university's school paper. It doesn't take long for the group to realize they're in over their heads, but Izuku won't let anything stand between him and proof of the paranormal.
And when he finally meets the cause of all the death and destruction, well, Izuku decides a hands on approach is the best way to study it while avoiding the terrifying oni's wrath.
The claws holding his chin tilted his head left and right, inspecting him like livestock at an auction, and Katsuki hummed appreciatively.
“I suppose thanks are in order for releasing me.” He paused to lick his lips. “I’m sure a show of my power will more than suffice for a devoted follower such as yourself. You’ll make a perfect little doll for me to use as I see fit. What do you say, human?”
Izuku swallowed thickly. The dip in Katsuki’s voice was undeniable, as was the way fiendish eyes seemed to devour him alive. Was he really going to do this?
“Yes.”

Katsuki sagged, letting out the breath he'd been holding in. "Yeah, whatever. Later nerd." He didn't wait for a reply, pressing the button to end the call immediately.
"That went well, right? He sounds normal."
Katsuki leveled a very serious look at the other hero, voice grave. "Kirishima, that wasn't Deku."

Izuku has taken part in a dangerous, undercover mission that was only supposed to last for three months. As part of the assignment, no one, not even his best friends and classmates, can know about it.
Now, six months have passed since it started and no one knows he’s missing. That is until Katsuki starts to do a little digging.
