Summary
Last year, I wrote a story that should have been about bitties. It accidentally became far less bitty-centric than originally advertised. THIS story will not be! THIS story is a continuation of the A Bitty Escape and One Last Try story, focused on the lives of the bitties after the events of ABE and OLT.
New relationships are discovered. Old relationships are strengthened. Animal shelters are worked at. Family life and fluff are everywhere.
This takes place between One Last Try and the ending of Out of the Void. If you haven't read the other stories in this series, this one probably won't make much sense, but hey! Don't let me stop you from living your life. Get on in here! See if you can love these guys with absolutely no background knowledge. Could be fun?

I have a bunch of one-shots that I got all inspired and wrote... and I kind of love them too much to get rid of them, but not enough to DO anything with them? They're pretty self-indulgent for the most part. So I'm making a place to post my one-shots that I write when I should be doing other stuff!
So far, these have taken a bit of a dark turn, so please pay attention to notes on each chapter! They will also give a basic "here's what's going on here" note. Enjoy?

Good thing you found a random house to sidle up to and ask to use their phone. Less of a good thing that the skeleton monster that lives in it is only placated by your sloppy jokes.

Summary
You are Lizzy (Elizabeth) Whitestone. A rare book archivist and historian employed by the library at Ebott University. Life is quite normal if not a bit bland until one October evening where a routine artifact pickup goes horribly wrong. Thrust into a mage's lifestyle with newly awakened powers, you meet a large cast of skeleton characters with even larger personalities. Not to mention your new mentor - Ellie - a mage with centuries of experience and sass who is thrilled to bring you along into the mayhem, magic, and mystery that is the Paranormal Security squad.
Life will never be the same but honestly you would never want it to be. Especially when a certain skeleton with amber eye lights and golden fangs starts showing up with snacks, puns, and a protective streak.
This was inspired by 'WeirdTober 2020 (Because My Therapist Seems To Think Writing is Good For Me)' by PineconeTrinklebriar and loosely set in a similar universe. While technically a prompt fic, the chapters are connected and this is a full fledged story with plot and everything. The prompts are incorporated along. :)
