Summary
A vase shatters against the far wall, thrown overhand to hit it with so much force it cracks the plaster.
Armand is a whirlwind. The sofa had been torn to shreds by cat-like claws, deep gashes running parallel in the brown leather. The side table, which previously had a glass top, was tipped on its side with massive chunks protruding from the wood like glaciers.
Daniel watched all this from the armchair in the corner, legs crossed and slouched low.
He was no stranger to an Armand temper tantrum. This new creature—free from the cold Dubai penthouse—was a violent one. Armand had gone from hunting every few weeks to daily; the news was covering a ‘serial killer’ in New York because of how many tourists his maker was poaching off the streets. Sometimes he’d pick a fight just because he wanted Daniel to yell at him. They’d fight until they bled, fucked, or both.
So yeah, a temper tantrum wasn’t completely new. What was new was his maker's glassy eyes and labored breathing as every new thing was broken.
Or: Armand has a Marius-induced meltdown, and Daniel comforts him.

Rashid’s eyes grow wide. Or, well, wider. Kid’s got doll eyes on an average day. Daniel swears he hears his breath hitch and something inside of him is set aflame.
“I don’t think that’s wise, Mr. Molloy.”
With a nonchalance he doesn’t truly feel, Daniel shrugs and begins to take his clothes off.

It all started when Daniel made the questionable decision to take an eighth of shrooms from a guy they met at the opening of a Whitney exhibit. It might not be his drug of choice, but he was offering, and Daniel was not one to turn down a free trip. Armand was also quite interested, leaning in with that familiar air about him where he was just so interested in a topic it lit up his whole face. And Daniel liked how Armand looked when he was in that sort of mood, the way his eyes glimmered and his hands moved.

"Except we're not friends. We're actually very much not friends." Daniel shrugs, as if it's all the same to him. "And I can't imagine the great vampire Armand deigning himself to sleep on my fucked-up sofa. That thing's been here since the nineties."
"Well," Armand only says. "I saw you have a guest bedroom."
