The fact that you came to me so candidly to confess you were cheating on me, you had been for fucking months, you lying bastard. Months in which you brought me flowers because you were fucking Lewis in the ass upstairs every two weeks. God, and I was so…stupid.” Vivian erupts into hysterical laughter. Nico stares at his own hands, the skin slightly chapped on the knuckles, and he finds them shaking imperceptibly, his heart beating in his wrists like a sledgehammer. Yes, he is all the things Vivian says. A lying bastard. A cheater. A monster. But she knew it from the very beginning, didn’t she? She knew because she saw. She knew where Nico was, during the long nights in which Lewis crashed on their couch. She knew where his loyalty lay. She knew and – she used to accept it as a part of their deal.
Nico knew there was a price to pay if he wanted to get back with Lewis. He just didn't expect it to be so high.
