That's who I'm up against.” Sara said. “I think everyone else is just seeing who can come second to her, but she's not unbeatable - and if I can beat her today, I'll be on the National team before the competition is even over. I'll jump like, ten places in the rankings.”
Zari shrugged. "No pressure then."
"No pressure at all." Sara grinned.

There was a movement at the door, and it opened slowly, and Sara turned to see Halley poking her head in.
"Hi, sweetheart." Sara said, grinning widely. "I've got Grayson here, if you want to say hi."
"Hi." Halley said meekly.
Sara nodded up at Ava, who was standing behind Halley, her camera in her hand, looking so happy she might cry. Sara was pretty close to crying too.

It had been a couple of months since they'd first talked about it. It hadn't worked so far - Sara was disappointed, they both were, but they reasoned there was no reason to suspect it had even worked the first-time last time, considering they’d had six weeks of doing little else.
It surprised Sara then, when she found herself leaning over the sink, a pregnancy test leant against the tap.

Ava can only assume it was said to get rid of a woman Sara isn't interested in, but it gives her what is probably both the best idea she's ever had in her entire life according to her drunk self, and the absolutely worst idea anyone has ever had, ever, in the history of ideas, according to her sober self upon recollection of the events.
“I've just had an amazing idea,” is what she says to Sara, stumbling into her seat as the girl eyes her oddly before leaving. “I should totally just date you.”Or, Ava's friends think she should date casually, Sara's friends think she should date seriously, so obviously going on five to ten dates with each other has to shut them all up for good. What could possibly go wrong? (Or, just another fake dating AU)

A long time ago and very far away, Ava Sharpe had a relationship with the brilliant, beautiful Sara Lance. But it couldn't be. It wasn't allowed to be. Now, firmly ensconced in the English countryside, Ava just wants to be left alone. She doesn't want to be involved in the world any more than strictly necessary, she doesn't want to know about the war going on, and she definitely did not volunteer to take in the child-evacuee from London delivered to her doorstep.

“What are you doing?” Ava murmured, reaching out to trail her fingers lightly over Sara’s spine.
“Changing my name on your phone,” said Sara, locking the phone and tossing it back onto the pillow between them. “I’m now your little bird.”
Ava chuckled, leaning forward to press a kiss to Sara’s shoulder. “Why?”
