He couldn't help but peek down into the crevice, the one that Jimmy had smushed himself into. He had though they had gotten passed this.
Getting trapped on a random modded server hadn't been ideal. They were still trying to figure out how to get off it, even after several days of pushing at the boundaries, but it wasn't like either of them were very knowledgeable in this kind of thing. The origins that had been forced upon them had only increased the difficulty, throwing them into instincts they had no clue how to navigate.

Summary
The Red King swayed, lips closing into a dark thin line. He frowned down at Martyn and pulled his hand back like he’d felt an ant bite, tilted his head like he was scenting the air. Stepped away and turned with a practiced swish of his cape, back into the tavern where it was dark and cool.
“I’ll take that as a goodbye, then,” Martyn rasped, levering to his feet. He almost recoiled from brushing away the mark of the Red King’s hand on his shoulder, but he plucked off the bits of flesh in the end.
Decay hadn’t touched the Red King except for his peeling skin, and that was practically a medical condition. Like the discoloration, and the disregard for the integrity of his own muscles, and the tendency to rip at living things with his teeth. Medical conditions. If a zombie breathed oxygen and had blood pumping through him, even if that blood was much more sludgy than it had any right to be, then that zombie– wasn’t a zombie, really.
It was a person, who was alive.
