Summary
For the first time in his life, Shouto Todoroki thinks he might be happy. Freed from his father's rule by the hand of his husband and now king, Shouto finds himself swept up in his lovers' embrace, the impending threat of a powerful necromancer and his undead pet with a grudge little more than a distant anxiety easily ignored for the miracle that is being loved by Katsuki and Izuku, and watching them love each other. But, as he feared, such happiness can't last.
The Todoroki kingdom has fallen, sending its monarchs retreating to the mountains for shelter and aid. With the Todorokis unseated, Katsuki finds the threat of war on his eastern border more dangerous than ever before. A mad man has taken the Todoroki kingdom and he won't rest until the whole world lies broken at his feet. Tomura Shigaraki must be stopped, but the new alliance forged between the barbarian conqueror and the disgraced flatland king is tenuous at best. As tensions mount, Shouto finds himself trapped between two levees-- on one side, his kingdom, his blood, and his legacy, on the other, his lovers, his home, and the family that made him theirs. And he has no idea where he will be standing when the floodwaters break.

"Why are you like this?” Bakugou exclaims, throwing his hands up in the air.
He’s not sure if the question is rhetorical at his own expense or if Bakugou’s actually wondering—the look on his face is almost identical in both cases.
Before Shouto can even open his mouth to respond—he’s waffling between “Like what?” for maximum Bakugou-annoyance or “It’s the trauma.” because of the one time it made Kaminari laugh so hard he cried—Bakugou is already talking over him, scrubbing a hand down his face and sighing like talking to Shouto is the hardest thing he’s ever done.
“Don’t fuckin’ answer that. I know why you’re like this.”
Problem solved. Shouto says nothing.

Or, a temporary team-up leads to certain feelings-based revelations for both reluctantly involved parties. A conversation is also had. Sort of.
Shouto is of the opinion that they should just kiss about it before they do anything else.

Summary
Shouto has another novel to finish and there's only one place where he feels capable of forcing the words. Plus Ultra Beans.
The baristas are all intriguing and welcoming.
Midoriya always has a positive outlook on nearly every topic, despite the scars that crisscross his arms. Mina gives affection and sass in equal measure to both her coworkers and the patrons. Jirou’s dry sense of humour and calm demeanour balance out her coworkers. Sato’s rumbling laughter feels warmer than the baked goods he makes. Sero never fails to have a witty repartee or random factoid.
And Bakugou.
Bakugou loudly proclaims his hatred for everything and everyone, handing insults out like candy with his perfectly crafted coffee; all the while still caring deeply for his friends and coworkers and unwilling to serve any customer less than the best brews.
If only Shouto was willing to give alphas a chance. If none of his sex partners to date have been able to make him cum, alphas would be the worst, so he avoids ever entangling with them. Bakugou should be the same as the rest.
Yet he isn't.
