Right?
When Harry doesn't receive a letter from Hogwarts, Albus doesn't deal with it very much, it often happens to Muggle-born children. The parents get scared and chase the owl away. But when the second, third, fourth and fifth returns to him, he knows that something is probably wrong. He sends Hagrid to give him his letter but all he found was an empty house. Hagrid thinks that they could go on a trip, so he puts a letter in the mailbox and leaves. But it was a serious mistake.

Harry doesn't come to the feast, Albus gets worried and sends one of his more trusted people. Severus Snape.
