Summary
Keith nods just slightly in his hands, so Lance believes he’s been given permission and leans forward to press a fleeting kiss to his lips. In the back of his head he hopes it’s the best kiss Keith has ever had, but he’s quickly distracted by the hand fisting in the front of his shirt and forcing him a few inches back.
“Oh my god, you were right.” Pidge groans, rubbing her face.
Shiro looks a little stunned at the display, and maybe a little guilty, like he should have realized Lance’s mistake before it steamrolled into Keith’s discomfort—but Keith, himself, is wearing a very neutral expression. He licks his lips, and Lance is distracted by it a moment, even if it was a very plain kiss that he shouldn’t be distracted by. “See?” Keith says, tearing his eyes away and looking to Shiro, “We’re great actors.”

Seriously, one of his professors asked if he had any experience with kids, because his sister was looking for someone to watch her child. Alex had said he’d been a camp counselor for two summers, and thought a babysitting gig could be good for a laugh or two and some spending money.
He literally opened the door to this townhouse on the Upper West Side, was handed a fucking baby and asked if 50 hours a week in the summer was doable for him.
Or, Alex is a nanny for a summer. Henry is a guy who always walks his dog in the park.

Summary
Normally, Alex runs the one-point-three miles across Georgetown from his brownstone to the hospital, where he showers and changes in the locker room before grabbing his second coffee of the day and starting his shift.
Today, he only makes it two blocks before the gray skies open up, and he’s stuck in a deluge, seeking refuge beneath the neutral-colored awnings in front of the bougie boutiques that line M Street and dodging the spray from passing cars on his way to the bus stop.
He’s soaked by the time he makes it there, his moisture-wicking running top taking all it can handle and his hair plastered to his forehead.
There’s a crowd of people huddled beneath the shelter. Half of them give him apologetic smiles while the others stare blankly into the rain, and none of them make any move to give up their spot for him.
He wouldn’t take it anyway. It’s his own stupid fault for chancing it without even grabbing an umbrella or a hooded jacket.
“Lovely weather, isn’t it?”
Alex rolls his eyes and turns around. Behind him, Dr. Fox is standing beneath an umbrella, bone dry and dressed in an impeccably tailored suit, his hair perfectly styled, not a blond strand out of place.
