Todd's brow furrowed, "I feel weak."
"That's the fear talking," the Mayor explained, "the fear that you are not strong enough. The fear that you are not able to take care of yourself. Those are natural feelings. Everyone feels them. But they are not true. You are strong."
Todd wasn't sure what to make of that. He had never heard the Mayor speak like this. It was so different from their normal talks.
"How do I stop being afraid?" he asked.

Roan slowly returned to consciousness still in the healer's room. He felt more aware and better rested than before. He knew this because he didn't feel like he was floating on a cloud. No, he could feel his body again and how it ached.
Glancing down at his arm he found it was still in the cast. He didn't feel like his bones were on fire either. That was an improvement.
