They don’t talk about it. They never do. It always seems to Jayce that if they talk about it, this precarious spell of happiness he has made for himself will shatter. Like Viktor will see how closely Jayce holds him in his heart and shy away. The thought is bone chilling. To lose his partner, he would be losing himself, the other half of his mind that lives in another body. He would lose the quiet touches, the hurried conversations, the greedy fervour with which they bounce off of and around each other, minds and thoughts intertwining so closely, it was as if they were thinking as one. No, Jayce could never lose that. He could never burden Viktor with the weight of his soul despite gladley carrying his partners next to his own heart.
