Summary
During his second deployment Eddie met a young Evan near the army base in Afghanistan. He and Evan grew close during his SEAL unit’s month-long stay at the base. When their relationship finally reaches an explosive conclusion and they are nearly ready to admit their love for one another, Evan abruptly leaves.
During the years they spent apart, they have not been able to forget each other.
Eddie is honourably discharged from the military and joins the Los Angeles Fire Department after moving to LA with his son and now ex-wife. Here he begins a journey of healing and moving past what he lost in Afghanistan.
Then Bobby (Eddie’s captain at firehouse 118) announces a new recruit, who is an ex-navy, will be joining the 118 team soon. When that new recruit is a familiar blonde, one Eddie had not seen in 3 years, the tables turn on Eddie’s healing journey.
