Summary
Rook noticed the first few strands of grey in his hair after Treviso was… after he saved Minrathous. It had only gotten worse from there. Now, nursing his bruises on the chaise lounge after facing Harding’s titan double, nearly half of his hair had turned — nearly on par with Emmrich’s.
Everyone would mourn something after all of this was over. Maybe if Rook worked hard enough, and perhaps got a bit lucky, the only thing he would have to mourn was the resemblance he bore with his mother.
Or: Rook Ingellvar mourns the loss of the last connection he had to his mother. Emmrich lends some comfort, and they discuss the future.

When the university offered Hob the chance to teach Classical Mythology, he was ecstatic.
How could he, a man with a thousand stories, not be excited to educate the youth of the decade on stories? How special, to teach something older than himself (not that teaching his own history was anything other than thrilling… even if he got the occasional call from a fellow history professor questioning his memory)? In any case, his determined research into his stranger’s (friend? Ex-friend? Almost lover?) actual identity has made him more than qualified to teach the subject.Hob should have guessed the sort of day he was destined for when the projector screen broke.

Summary
They both found comfort in stories. Bilbo would sit Frodo on his lap in the study as he wrote, telling him bits and pieces about his quest that he couldn’t fit into his books; things like how Bombur would stash extra food away after Bilbo told him about the typical seven meals hobbits were used to, or how Kili and Fili stole Dwalin’s clothes while he bathed. It became a sort of ritual for them. Frodo started to ask more questions. In return, Bilbo would recount their acts of everyday bravery. To him, these memories ached like a fresh scar; but to Frodo, they inspired his own sort of bravery. The faunt would go out and play with the other children, and wouldn’t protest Bilbo’s insistence of regular baths. Bilbo had never been prouder in his life.
However, no matter how many times Frodo asked for stories on a certain dwarven King and his steely blue eyes, Bilbo couldn’t say a word.~~~~

Eponine picks up a second later.
“Get lost,” She says.
“We already are,” Grantaire replies.
There’s a moment of silence.
“What?” Eponine asks.
Grantaire sighs loudly, “We took a wrong turn on our way back from Costco, and now we’re lost.”
