Barnes snorts. “Having a drink,” he says, then gives Clint another one of those appraising looks. “You a professional?” he says, after a second, and Clint is momentarily confused.
A professional what?
And then he realizes Barnes must be talking about pool, and Clint huffs a laugh. “Only when there’s money involved,” he says, smirking, and Barnes kind of nods, like that makes any sort of sense.
Then Barnes nods again, a little more firmly, and says “You got a place?”
Which is about the point that Clint realizes that he’s not meeting the Winter Soldier in a bar, he’s being picked up by the Winter Soldier in a bar and-
“Yeah,” he croaks, clears his throat, thinks wildly that he’s really fucking glad Kate has Lucky for a few days, and says “Yeah, I got a place.”
Or, how Bucky got his groove back.

Summary
Dean accidentally kills Castiel, and is tormented by grief and guilt afterwards. Dean becomes convinced Cas still exists somehow, and that he will be resurrected; Sam's not so sure, but is determined to help his grief-stricken brother recover. Meanwhile the Darkness is eating away at Creation, and soon both brothers realize they may have to embark on their longest and strangest journey yet. This time they might not come back. Will they have to fight their last battle without Castiel?

What a story. Starting with the most personal, horrific torture-death imaginable and then just getting weirder. How deeply repressed shock and trauma ends with Cas's true form of a dragon, the woven threads of the universe, and God having trapped himself in a footstool, and it all make thematic/biblical/poetic sense is insanely impressive. Cheers to the La-z-boy at the end of existence.

Cas blinks those big, dark, sweet icing blue eyes. “What would you--”
But he fits his lips to Cas’ without waiting to hear his question--let alone answer it, butterflies exploding in his stomach and climbing up his throat until he moans, knowing he’s taking Cas’ first kiss--knowing Cas has never done or felt anything like this before and Dean gets to have that. He gets to have that. His. His. And shit, but he wants all of Cas’ firsts.

Summary
Scrambling to his knees Castiel hugs back, burying his face in Dean’s neck, breath coming in fast little pants against his skin. Dean closes his eyes and just breathes him in, barely able to believe that this is real. At any other time in his life, closing his eyes against a threat like Death would be an inexcusable lapse in his hunter’s judgement. Right now, he doesn’t give a single fuck. Death can reap him for all he cares, he’ll die knowing Cas is going to be ok. Alive.
“I will see you soon, Dean,” Death tells him, that deliberate voice of his soft enough not to intrude on the intimacy of the moment, “Raincheck on that grilled cheese.”
“Thank you,” Dean croaks, propping his chin up on Cas’s shoulder, unmindful of the tears trickling down his cheeks, “Thank you.”

After Death brings Cas and Eileen back, the four of them hit the road with Miracle, driving around the country opening decommissioned Men of Letters chapterhouses to be used by hunters while trying to give a human perspective on Jack's plan to restructure the afterlife system. Meanwhile, Dean copes with being a flustered lump of a man because somewhere along the way, Castiel learned how to flirt.
