Because of a last minute change to the MCC roster, a new player is entered into the competition and put on a team with Phil, Techno, and Wilbur. The new kid is skittish and prickly but nothing they can’t handle.
But then they get attached to Tommy and a temporary team turns into a permanent family.

Tommy doesn’t know it when he meets him but this high school senior is the reason he finds a family.
