Summary
Part 5 (and final!!) of my "Sometimes Being Lost..." series!!
Join Buck and Eddie as they close out their wedding planning with the wedding itself, enjoy a familymoon with Chris, and close out their surrogacy journey as Penelope gives birth to their newest addition!
*The little half arrows are meant to depict a flashback!*
*This fic picks up just a couple hours after the events at the end of part 4 (do not need to read it to understand it as said event isn't mentioned, but for those who have followed the series, it's once again a direct continuation from part 4 to part 5 :)

Summary
Part 4 (once again, finally!) of my "Sometimes Being Lost..." series!! If you've been around for awhile, you know I write long fics, and this one is no different. So, part 5 will be the end of the series, and I'm hoping to keep it the length of a good epilogue ("hoping" being the key word).
Buck and Eddie find themselves eager to get married, so they attempt to balance work and spending time with Chris while adding Wedding Planning to the mix, all in the span of seven-ish months.
Honest conversations and a bit of angst (because what's a good fic without it, am I right (or do I just like to make myself and my favorite characters hurt?!)
I also had fun writing a very prominent section from Season 6 with Established Buddie!!(Italicized sections within parentheses are meant to depict the same scene but from a different person's perspective!)

Summary
Buck is used to loss. He never really had his parents, which is a different kind of very unfortunate loss. Maddie left with Doug. Buck himself came and went from various places, jobs and friendly people. He lost himself after a ladder truck crushed his leg. His triumphant return to a regular life slipped through his fingers when he almost choked to death on his own blood. Red came and went so fast, Buck has to look up his obituary sometimes to remind himself that he was real. He lost his favorite person ever to unforgiving tsunami waters. And somehow, through all of that, he nearly lost his family. And no, it wasn't because of the lawsuit.
But he'll never forget the passion in Thomas' tone when he said "you don't find it, son, you make it." And the pain in Red's face when he found out Cindy was "gone" along with his old team after learning she had dementia.
Buck will be damned if he stops fighting for his family; or, more importantly, for himself.
[[Obvious canon and timeline divergence: Buck knew about Daniel and his being a savior-baby before leaving Hershey. Eddie's will was changed following the tsunami. He meets (and loses) Red at some point after the ladder truck bombing.]]

Summary
Evan Buckley has never known the luxury of feeling stable, at least not for an extended period of time, so it comes as no surprise to him that Maddie, Chim and Jee leaving town, only a few months after Eddie got shot in broad daylight...right in front of him...while working...on a side street in L.A. has brought an unshakeable weight upon his shoulders. Although it's familiar, the unwelcome presence leads him to question his relationship with Taylor, especially the way their rekindled romantic relationship ironically (in a dark sort of way) shot back to life after the life was nearly shot out of Eddie.
Missing Maddie's guidance and being conflicted by Dr. Copeland's, Buck feels like his thread is about to snap. And just as it does, a saving grace arrives that helps him mend his broken pieces.
