“Don’t mention it.” Bucky replied quietly.
“Bye, Mr Barnes, Alpine.” She smiled quickly before ducking out of his apartment, closing the door softly behind her. Bucky let out a deep breath while listening to the sound of her crossing the hallway, opening her door, and getting inside. Only after hearing her lock her front door, Bucky could shift his attention elsewhere.
Alpine was staring up at him curiously.
“We’re fucked, aren’t we, buddy?” Bucky groaned.
Alpine meowed in agreement.

“Excuse me, but you look so familiar.” The cop said after finishing their interviews, looking up at Steve with questioning eyes. “Are you–”
“Thank you officer. Glad we could help.” Steve said, smiling tightly before pulling her away from the scene. The cop, perhaps too dumbfounded by what had just happened, allowed them to leave. Instead of heading for his motorcycle, he pulled her towards the alley next to the diner.
Pressing her up against the dank brick walls, he ducked his head down to capture her lips in a bruising kiss. Big hands began to roam over her body, squeezing and caressing her skin, before making their way up to her head, holding her face in place with his left hand, while his right tugged on her hair.
“Scared the shit out of me, sweetheart.” He mumbled against her neck as he lowered his face to press feather-soft kisses along the skin.

His hands cupped her cheeks as he deepened the kiss before she even knew what was happening. He pressed her more firmly against her car door and let out a deep breath through his nose. Rosemary sighed and sagged in his competent hold.
When he finally pulled away, biting her bottom lip and dragging it out ever so slightly, he was looking at her as if he found the answer to all of his questions.
“Yes. Let’s go.” He said seriously before pressing another kiss against her lips. When he pulled away he held out his hand in front of her. After meeting her questioning gaze, he smiled softly. “Your keys. I’m driving.”
