Jamie’s hands stilled. “Huh?” That didn’t make any sense. People didn’t hate Keeley. She was Keeley. She was basically unhateable, even if you were a really fucking miserable cunt who hated everyone. He knew that because even Roy fucking Kent—the most miserable cunt Jamie knew—always nodded politely as her when she showed up to the club.
The only thing harder than being pushed out of the only jobs they've ever known, the only things they're good at, is trying to do it alone. Keeley, Roy and Jamie learn the road gets a little easier when they've got someone (or someones) in their corner to help them along.
