Summary
Tanjiro Kamado was born to a once well-respected clan of powerful Devil Slayers that had been shamed by the actions of his cowardly grandfather. After his father killed himself to escape the debt he owed to the Yakuza, Tanjiro was forced to take care of himself along with his adoptive sister, Nezuko, a stray devil girl he met years ago. He and Nezuko worked together as Devil Slayers for the Yakuza until one day, they got stabbed in the back...literally. Tanjiro is killed and Nezuko is mortally wounded, she uses the last of her power to replace her dear brother's heart at the cost of her own life. Heartbroken by the apparent death of his sister, Tanjiro goes on a rampage before calming down and wallowing in his depression. Soon, he is found by Public Safety Devil Slayers, Giyu Tomioka and Shinobu Kocho who take an interest in the boy's power and brings him in. Being promised a normal life, Tajiro agrees to use his skills and abilities as a Devil Slayer and protect others. Join him as he slowly discovers the secrets behind his clan and who/what his precious little Nezuko really was.
