“Are you trying to get killed, Potter?” Malfoy drawls, stalking forward. Quick as a serpent himself, he reaches out and grabs the snake just below the head. It thrashes in his grip, but is no longer able to bite anyone. “This is a poisonous snake, and I doubt anyone brought a bezoar with them.”
Harry glares. He opens his mouth, and feels the beginning the snake’s language pass his lips, and this isn’t what he wants, what’s the point of insulting Malfoy if he can’t understand him –
Malfoy’s eyes widen. He slaps his hand over Harry’s mouth, “Potter, what the hell–”

Summary
At this point, the dark shadow of the Dream empire had taken over a large portion of the galaxy. Like a virus, it crept through the stars, overtaking any planet with resources the Sovereign deemed valuable enough to pursue. The Syndicate was nothing special really, especially against a force that powerful. They were only a small group of misfits that had decided to stand up to Dream's tyranny, but they'd quickly made a name for themselves and brought something back that'd been missing from the galaxy for a long time. Hope.
People were starting to idolize them, which is why finding a child stowed away on their ship wasn't as worrying as it should've been. They'd met their fair share of "fans" who wanted to join the front lines of their rebellion. But the annoying, blond-haired child named "Tommy" wasn't exactly the type of person they usually recruited.
(Unrelated to that fact, Prince Theseus, the Sovereign's younger brother, has gone inexplicably missing from the palace.)
AKA: The Syndicate are a group of space anarchists fighting against a corrupt empire. Their new stowaway, a young boy named Tommy, might secretly be the prince of that evil empire. Unfortunately, Techno gets attached.
