Summary
Leo's world looks nothing like the colorful pictures of humans painted on Splinter's projector. It's musty, claustrophobic and one good earthquake away from the ceiling caving in and killing them all. He knows there's a surface above -- Raph's seen it, and he talks about it all the time. Splinter won't let them go, but there has to be a way to sneak up there and prove that they can handle it, right?
Then, a giant mechanical monster breaks through their ceiling, and it turns out the surface was just as perilous as Splinter warned.

The first family computer was modest -- even saying that might be overselling it. A little Windows Vista laptop, held together by duct tape and a prayer. A cheap Dell, one that even in the best of conditions would struggle to run anything more complex than Microsoft Word and a 240p YouTube video.

Summary
Phoenix Wright has finally gotten as close to a happy ending as he's ever going to get, being a defense attorney and all. Sure, he's still defending clients and risking his life to find the truth, but he's also -- well, got his badge back! He doesn't have to look over his shoulder before inviting all of his (lovely, astounding, amazing) friends and family over for a New Years party. He's -- well, he's content, and that's all he can really ask for.
Would be a shame if a skeleton from his past dug herself up and put everyone under a curse that sent their universes to the stretches of the multiverse right before an event goes catastrophically wrong for the original souls. Would be a real shame.
Apollo and Trucy, who missed getting cursed by sheer dumb luck and good timing, have to dig through the multiverse to drag their friends and family's souls back to their bodies by solving whatever stupid thing they got swept up in. 'Course, it doesn't make it any less weird to find anything from Gumshoe hosting The Great LA Bakeoff to Phoenix Wright: Overdramatic Prosecutor. Well, once they make it through their own situation, first, and -- Apollo being a Gramarye doesn't seem too far from reality after all.

There are plenty of grey areas in life, but some things are not up for interpretation. Whether someone is alive or not is a yes or no question, with no room left for debate.
And yet.
There are times where Yoko looks over at Kamina and has to audibly remind herself that he is there, that he survived that horrible battle against Thymilph, that there's nothing to worry about, that everything turned out okay.
Sometimes, she wonders if she might be mistaken.
OR:
Kamina lives, but that doesn't actually matter. Everything plays out more or less the same.
(He was never the protagonist of the story in the first place.)
