Three days into the second week, and here comes the curveball.
"What?" Hank scoffs, turning to Connor, then back to Fowler. "Jeffrey, that's too short fuckin' notice, we just got back to the job. We’re not ready for somethin’ like this, there's no way we're takin' this case."
The Captain just shakes his head. "Hank, don't start. With all this android bullcrap going on, the feds don't want nothing to do with it. Someone's gotta solve this shit, and you and Connor are the only available assets we got right now."Or: Just as things are finally starting to fall into normalcy, Connor's trauma is resurfacing. Especially when he and Hank are put on a pretty gruesome case.

He just stands there, unsure and wavering, flipping his coin over in his palm by his side. He can feel the plastimetal of his facial features tighten into a familiar expression of unease.
But then Hank smiles. Really smiles.
And he must be smiling back, because Hank begins filling those yards with his own footsteps.
"Jesus, took you long enough," the lieutenant breathes, and then something else happens—he closes the gap between them, pulling the detective in by the shoulder.
A hug. A real hug.Or: Connor finds Hank at the Chicken Feed. They return to the lieutenant’s house and talk about everything that’s happened, and Hank makes an offer that Connor can hardly believe.

Connor stares out into the crowd, at first dazed, but then quickly becomes terrified. Terrified that they might have seen him pull out his gun.
He has to get out. He has to.
The deviant leader is talking with his friends, and Connor takes that as an opening. He places one foot behind him, then another, and slowly removes himself from the group on the platform. He turns to leave—
A hand stops him.
"Connor, hey." Markus.Or: Following the events of the demonstration, Connor is overwhelmed by his situation. Markus offers him shelter at New Jericho, but settling in proves to be much too difficult; for him and the other deviants.

Summary
Phases of Snufmin in autumn. Ficlet collection of short-ish one-shots I don't have anywhere else to put.
One: "Red." Moomintroll invites Snufkin apple-picking in the orchard.
Two: "Early Dark." Moomintroll and Snufkin go fishing, complain about handsome guests, and are generally oblivious.
Three: "Baking With Apples." Alone in the house on a rainy day, Moomintroll decides to do some baking, and Snufkin keeps him company.
Four: "Harvest Festival Part I" The Moomins visit a (American-style >.>;) harvest festival for good, drama-free fun. For Moomintroll, this is of course impossible.
Five: "Harvest Festival Part II" Turns out Moomintroll and Snufkin have no guards against the sales strategies of wily festival merchants.
Six: "Harvest Festival Part III" Moomintroll gets "advice" from an unlikely source. The trouble is it's just so difficult to stay angry at a snufkin.
Seven: "Harvest Festival Part IV" In which a haunted maze probably isn't the best choice for a lovers' tiff.
