“You do. And I know it’s different for you, Rick. I know me being here it doesn’t change anything for you, but for me? It changes everything.” Her voice drops as she speaks, the last word coming out as a low hiss, imbued with an intensity that makes her lower lip tremble. She studies him for a long moment, her expression caught somewhere between anger and empathy. “Having something to protect changes everything.”

Summary
Stannis Baratheon has driven the Boltons out from Winterfell and back to the Dreadfort but at great loss. As his army recuperates at the Stark's ancestral seat, wolves rise with winter's coming. A boy is named king, a girl takes the burden of her name from another who has wrongfully suffered its weight, and a man returns from the dead in a new image. Each calls upon friends and allies to reclaim the North in the name of House Stark, but while they may join common cause in slaying the Boltons, will they be able to hold a North divided by the greatest question of all: if they can beat the Boltons, who rules next?
