Strahd von Zarovich is nothing if not perceptive. He's noticed the not-so-subtle ways Rahadin's eyes linger on him when his chamberlain thinks he's not paying attention (he's always paying attention) and the way his pulse quickens when at the receiving end of his rare praise. And Strahd, ever a lover of exotic and beautiful things, is very much interested.
(This is an edit of my previously posted fic, Blood and Wine. This one will more heavily emphasize plot and the dynamics of Strahd and Rahadin's evolving relationship, and strongly de-emphasize the smut.)

Summary
A year after the events of Pacific Rim, Hermann Gottlieb rejoins the PPDC and finds it has changed drastically in his absence. He and Newton Geiszler are asked to pilot the Jaeger Occam's Razor, despite physical and mental handicaps that should bar them from becoming Rangers. The world is shifting violently in the absence of Kaiju, and the new Jaeger program is formed with questionable motives. Even as the k-sci boys struggle to understand their feelings for each other and where they fit into a system torn by revolt, they must also deal with the lingering presence of the Kaiju hivemind and a new wave of monsters completely different than any that came before.
