Summary
Asakura Kazuki was a highly regarded pediatric doctor working in the crime-ridden city of Shinkoumi. The mothers and fathers loved him, as did the children. He had a way with them, he knew just how to talk to them, to make them feel as safe and comfortable as possible during their checkups. He was known to be gentle and caring, good at his job, an amazing pediatrician. So, why was such an esteemed doctor working in such a city as Shinkoumi, a place run by the mafia and full of crime and death? Surely such a doctor could get a job in a nicer, safer city.
That is a story Asakura would not easily tell. It’s something he’s kept close to his chest, locked away behind a thick mask of shame. No one could know. Summary
Picks up in the car after the Suwa family showdown in Ep.12.
They have been partners for years, and they still are. They're just a different kind now, I guess? After making the drastic (and arguably psychotic) plan to leave the hitman business, Kazuki and Rei are forced to make a huge life transition. They have to become normal people. As they work together to adapt to this new and confusing life they find themselves developing new and confusing feelings as well. A continuation of what the anime set up, they are just two "best friends" trying to find a way through their mental illness, past trauma, and their everyday lives together. Unless, maybe there's more to it than that?
I wanted to dive into their near future but also elaborate on their past. So every chapter I am trying to include a current event and a related memory.

When everyone has told him exactly what he is and what is to come, it isn't surprising that the events of the Tragedy have been predictable. But occasionally, there are things he experiences that he is sure he shouldn't. Because the things he experiences are things that people experience, and he's been told time and time again that he isn't a person, but something created for people. But even so, everything keeps moving and there are answers that Kamukura still needs to find.

Summary
Class 77b is slowly making Jabberwock Island their home, but Hinata struggles to connect with his classmates and his sense of self after fusing with Kamukura.
Hinata woke up first, but he feels like he woke up like someone else. He knows that's wrong, that of course he's Hinata, he's just Kamukura now, too, but now he doesn't feel like either. Except when he's with Komaeda, when he can forget how wrong everything feels. Running away through someone else doesn't work forever, though.
