It's not like he needed anything for his birthday, it felt like he was still reeling from everything he'd gotten from Christmas. Not to mention all the little things daddy and papa had been getting him just because “he needed it” or even “just because.”

Ren watched, his thoughts swirling. There was something about Hiss that tugged at his heart. He couldn’t exactly explain it, but he told himself it was just that Hiss was a creeper hybrid, and that a young creeper hybrid would of course remind him of his mate.
As the two figures disappeared into the distance, Ren stood there for a moment, lost in thought. His gaze lingered on the path ahead, where families walked by, couples chatted, and children laughed. The noise of the park seemed distant now, muffled by the thoughts swirling in his mind.
Then it hit him. That feeling, a quiet longing he'd always harbored. Something he had long since put on the backburner when he joined Hermitcraft, when he met and fell in love with Doc, mated another alpha.
Ren wanted a kid, a family.

Scar knows a lot of things. For example, bananas are, botanically speaking, berries, while strawberries are technically classified as nuts. He is full of these odd facts. Did you know an octopus has three hearts–two that pump blood to the gills and one for the rest of its body? Or that, in the summer, the Eiffel Tower can stretch a few inches taller as the metal expands in the heat? He even knows that it rains diamonds on Jupiter and Saturn.
But there is one thing Scar knows for sure: He doesn’t have all the answers. Sure, he knows a lot of random little facts, but there is just as much he doesn’t understand. Like, how on earth do you solve a Rubik’s cube? Which Star Wars movie is his favorite? How did math get so annoyingly difficult? But the biggest mystery at the moment: How did he end up in this mess?

They jokingly refer to themselves though as the First Contact Crew. It’s up to them to determine the sentience and sapience of alien races that either volunteer or are brought to them by the Council.
