Summary

In Ghost City, Hua Cheng hears rumours about the mysterious guoshi who carries the name of the cursed sword that dispersed him so long ago.

It is a split second, overheard briefly, but it is enough that Hua Cheng stops talking, flinching before he even realises why.
He knows that name.
How could he forget it, the name of that cursed sword wielded by that cursed calamity, the one Hua Cheng had held aloft with all of his strength, fingernails snapping on the hilt as the vengeful spirits tore him to pieces, tears of agony and pain for his god pooling behind the mask. It is a name he does not hear often, and it is enough to turn his head, his dark eye narrowing as he looks across the hall of the Gambler’s Den.
