Summary
Ensign Thomas Cody, aboard the NX-02 Columbia, is tasked with recording personal logs during humanity's initial steps into galactic exploration. As a cross-trained support ensign in sciences and engineering, he finds himself on the front lines during a war with the Romulans. The Columbia, part of a convoy to Alpha Centauri, is suddenly attacked by a Romulan armada, leading to catastrophic damage and heavy casualties. Thomas is one of the few surviving crew members, navigates himself and the crew to any safe haven.
