Chip’s breath catches inside his throat.
It’s not that he’s surprised, not really. There’s always been a part of Chip — deep in his ribcage — which knew this was coming. Of course his freedom was temporary, a brief interjection in some kind of never ending nightmare. Chip’s not ready, though — he’ll never be ready, not when his organs are dust and his crew is nothing more than a fable — so it can’t be true.
He won’t let it be true.
Chip is forced to confront his past with his brother.

Summary
In a galaxy rapidly being taken over by the oppressive regime of the Unity Empire, the Resistance is one of the few organisations stopping a complete Imperial takeover.
