And there it is—the question hangs in between them while Hanbin freezes in place. He opens his mouth then closes it, unable to form words despite the fact that there are very limited options to answer a question like that. Hao seems to take Hanbin’s silence for rejection because he starts speaking before Hanbin can.
“Sorry, you don’t have to answer that. That was a stupid question. I only meant that—”
“I would,” Hanbin says. “I would kiss you.”
