Summary
“Hiya!” The little girl beams back at him, giving him a wave. He waves back and, feeling awkward looking up at them both, clambers to his feet.
She really looks a lot like Veritas—the same hair, the same eyes—the only difference being her much rounder features. She looks around seven or eight, which sticks out to him, considering Veritas doesn’t seem to be any older than his mid-twenties.
“Didn’t expect to see you here,” Veritas says, looking a little suspicious.
“I, uh, yeah, I live here.” Aventurine laughs nervously, gesturing to the door he’d been leaning against.
Ratiorine slice-of-life/found family.

Summary
Al Haitham couldn’t figure out why he didn’t always say no when his ‘friends’ asked him to dinner. It always ended this way, and each and every time, he was utterly miserable by the end of the night.
But as he watched the blonde's hair swish around his face as laughter lit up his pretty crimson eyes, he couldn't bring himself to regret going.

Summary
Kaveh watches on in amusement as a pair of frogs seem to squabble at the water's edge, awkwardly tussling with each other as they slip and hop around in the mud. Rolling his eyes, he starts to make his way over, hoping to separate them before either of them gets hurt, but before he can get any closer, a hand shoots out of the water and yanks them beneath the surface.
Kaveh had no idea his little trip out to survey some land would put him in the middle of a magical mess. Alhaitham just wanted to have a nice swim in peace.

Summary
He’d felt it creeping up on him over the last few weeks. The looming dread that something was not quite right. Inescapable panic as he couldn’t shake the feeling of eyes staring him down even when he was alone, even when he was in his own home. Nothing made it better, no matter how much he drank, no matter what drug he tried. Even gambling couldn’t distract him from the constricting feeling that someone was watching him.
Aventurine's struggling to keep his grip on reality, but Veritas is right there, ready to grab his wrist just in case he falls.

Summary
The sun shines through the shallow waters, glittering against the surface so brightly that it would likely blind any mortal who stared directly at it. It was a shame that something so beautiful was so dangerous to the wrong eyes. Lucky him he supposed, he could stare at the dancing lights for the rest of time if he so desired, or he could at least until someone came to find him. Maybe he should just swim deeper, deeper than anyone would think to look for him. The cool touch of the water is nice against his skin, and breathing comes much easier to him beneath the waves. It’s been so long since he’s had a break, and the building stress is starting to feel like weights slowly dragging him down into the depths of despair.
Everyone thinks Neuvillette should take a break, especially Wriothesley.
