An original take on the war table mission Protect Clan Lavellan.
In and out. That was their mission. No killing, no overthrowing local authority, no revealing and thwarting evil plans, and especially no falling in love. They were to find the missing members of Clan Lavellan somewhere inside the city of Wycome, and return safely back to Skyhold. Easy enough.
Flirting with Solas at the same time was just a pleasing side benefit.

The word broke the silence, soft but laced with emotion. She froze, her breath hitching, before turning to meet Solas’ gaze. He stood at the edge of the garden, his pale eyes wide and stricken.
Then he saw them—dark bruises, stark against the pale skin of her throat, blooming like cruel reminders of another’s hands.
His knees buckled, and he fell before her, his trembling hands hovering as if afraid to touch. “What has he done to you?” His voice cracked, raw with anguish and fury.
“Solas, please,” she whispered, her voice hoarse, broken.
But his head shook violently, his expression twisting with a rage she had never seen before. “I will kill him,” he vowed, his voice low and trembling with conviction. “By the Fade, by my own hand, I swear it—He will pay for this.”
