Summary
Vash and Nick have a system. They travel together, they fight together, sometimes they sleep together, and they don't acknowledge this thing growing between them. Ever.
But that system stops working after the pair saves a town with a VERY active local drug scene, and as thanks slip them some of the good stuff during the 'we didn't die' celebration. Which causes problems when the filters they've oh so carefully created stop working and they say some things they very much didn't mean to. But still very much did mean.

Proud Immortal Dragon Way was a book that started as a xianxia with a western-styled dragon rider twist and ended as a trashy harem novel, where the only thing being ridden was the protagonist’s heavenly *beep*. Every. Damn. Chapter. It was such a waste!
When Shen Yuan died cursing the plot, the inexperienced system assigned to his case failed to connect him to his intended role of the scum villain. Instead, he was shunted into -- what was this tight cramped darkness?? What do you mean mission: ‘Hatch Safely’!?
After breaking the shell, who wouldn’t recognize an iconic hatching scene from the book, where disciples would impress hatchlings. The kind Binghe, in the middle of his whump arc, was never allowed to partake in.
Well too bad, it was Binghe or bust! Where was the Qing Jing woodshed? Shen Yuan would drag his pathetic little newborn body as far as he needed to!

Initially, Shen Yuan’s plan had been to get into Qing Jing Peak. But on second thought, he’d realized that being a disciple at the same peak as the future vengeful protagonist might put him in his warpath, even if he didn’t participate in any bullying or anything (which to be clear, he was in no way planning to do), since he wasn’t a pretty girl that Luo Binghe would bestow his mercy on and take into his harem. So, in the end, he settled for becoming a background character – aka, becoming an An Ding Peak disciple.
And to be clear, just not becoming a cultivator in this particular sect was absolutely not an option. There was no way in hell that Shen Yuan was going to miss out on his chance to witness the Luo Binghe in action.
Or,
Shen Yuan, transmigrated into the body of a poor orphan somewhere in the world of Proud Immortal Demon Way, becomes an An Ding Peak disciple so that he can stay in range of his favorite character, the main character, Luo Binghe. As long as he keeps interaction with Luo Binghe to a minimum and gets the hell out of dodge before the razing of Cang Qiong, he'll be perfectly fine, right?
So then why the hell does he keep getting dragged into the plot?!
