    Summary

Diomedes does not think he is a good man, by any definition. His deeds from the war still haunt his dreams after all these years. By some miracle, his goddess arrives in his new home and offers him a path to if not redemption, a path to keep living. At her command, he will go to Ithaca and protect the royal family until Odysseus can return.
With the only the help of a broken goddess and a looming prophecy on his head, can he keep Penelope and Telemachus alive until then?

    Summary

After the events of God Games, Athena returns to Ithaca to give Odysseus’s son a fighting chance, too. While she’s teaching him to fight the monsters in his palace, she is fighting the fallout of her father’s punishment, too.

Athena is a good aunt and we love to see it. Also she has serious PTZ(eus)D and Olympus doesn’t really do therapy, so support human it's gotta be. Also she calls Telemachus Little Wolf now, my heart...

    Summary

Sing, o muse, of the guile of Athena, bright-eyed, triple-born, winner of the game,
sing of the wrath of Zeus, warlike, king of the Gods, of the flashing bolt, keeper of oaths,
and sing of Odysseus, shifty, man of many ways and of many sorrows; keeper of bright-eyed Athena.

Athena played Zeus' game and won. But the king of the Gods doesn't take kindly to losing. While it's true that Goddesses can't die, that doesn't mean they can't suffer. And Zeus has a far more creative punishment in mind than simple lightning bolts.

On Ogygia, Odysseus has just been told that he is free to leave. But in this version of the story, Hermes delivers more than a message to the king of Ithaca - he delivers a woman. A mortal woman, bound to Odysseus, forced to join him in his desparate quest to return home.

(Or: after the events of 'God Games', Zeus strips Athena of her immortality, and sticks her with that mortal she's apparently become so attached to.)
