Summary
In 1986, Steve Harrington is doing his best. Trying to rebuild a life for his friends who’ve been to hell and back, and trying to carve out space for himself and his strange growing friendship with Eddie Munson.
At least, until Eddie leaves.
Four years later they meet again, and Eddie comes crashing back into Steve’s life, ready to tear down the walls Steve has painstakingly built around his heart.
Or: a story about holding on, letting go, and opening your heart to the unexpected. Even if the unexpected is a flighty rockstar in skin tight jeans.

Summary
“Not sick, not sick,” he slurs, and Eddie wants to see his face, wants to hold it in his hands, wants to look him in the eye when he says, “just sad. Sad. Fuck… fuck, sad.”
“Why are you sad, big guy?” Eddie asks.
Steve laughs again, but it’s sharper this time, it doesn’t last as long, because as soon as the words slip out of his mouth—
“My mom’s dead—”
—it walks that treacherous line between the two sounds and morphs straight to a broken sort of sobbing that reaches directly into Eddie’s chest and drags out his heart.

The weather in Hawkins is nice, nicer than it’s been in days, even as the promise of rain hangs heavy in the nearing clouds. The humidity is causing their hair to swell — Eddie’s moreso — but Chrissy’s too content to move.
She doesn’t have to think about it, the question, but she lets herself anyway. Her eyes have been closed for a while, her body weed-warm and buzzing pleasant, so it all comes easily: the weight of his arm slung around her shoulders. Blue eyes her mirror. The strength of his heart through his shirt. (Under his shirt.)
“Yes,” she answers, swallowing around the ache. “Have you?”

Summary
On a trip to New York to visit Alexis for Christmas, David is shot by an unknown assailant. Devastated by the death of his husband, Patrick returns to Schitt’s Creek to lean on friends and family as he struggles to rebuild his life in the wake of an unthinkable tragedy.
