They're only a few yards apart, now. Jason bares his teeth in a snarl, but a single blow sends him to his knees. He's dizzy with blood loss, maybe has a couple of broken ribs. Bottom line, not good.
Then there's a gun pointed in between his eyes and dizziness is the least of his problems.
"Yeah? How's that?" Like a split lip that he can't stop tonguing, Jason can't help the urge to needle some more. "What do they say about me on the streets, big guy?"
"You weren't supposed to be weak."
Red Hood can't be allowed everything while The Arkham Knight has nothing.

Of the speech, Bruce recognized his name and maybe Alfred’s. It made it feel like something was clawing inside his chest, knowing that he couldn’t communicate properly with this child living in his pool.
Jason curled his lip back. I know human words.

"Jay," Bruce stops him, hands up. Jason can't help but let his gaze trace the wrinkles and grays he doesn't recognize, the scars he doesn't know the stories behind. "This is your home. Somehow, when you died, when we all thought you died... it wasn't you. You switched places with yourself from another universe, and that's the universe you've been in since your death."
Disbelief surges within him and Jason rolls his eyes, scoffing as he leans back against the wall and tries not to show how much the throbbing in his leg is bothering him. It doesn't work, of course. You can't fool Batman.
OR:
When Superboy Prime messed with the timeline, he brought Jason Todd back to life by pulling one from another multiverse. One that wasn't supposed to die. That sense of wrongness that's followed Jason around since he was brought back, the little inconsistencies in his memories, it all adds up. What happens when his original Bruce figures it out and snags his boy back? Bruce would do anything for his kids, but how does he repair a trust that he wasn't the one to break?

Summary
Jason has spent the last six years working as a hooker for Roman Sionis, but when he gets picked up by Slade Wilson, he finally has the chance to make enough money to get out of Gotham for good. He just has to survive the weekend with Slade; without pissing off any mob bosses, or letting Roman figure out his plan to escape.
Easy enough.
Except that Slade is making things hard, in more ways than one. Charming and self-assured; Jason can't help falling for him. Not that it matters. Jason is leaving Gotham after this final job.

The idea came to Jason the next day. Mr Wayne lived in his Gotham Manor with only his butler for company. If Jason managed to sneak in, they wouldn't even notice him. The place was huge, and Jason was small and sneaky. He knew to avoid security cameras at shopping centers and how to blend in and disappear. Surely hiding in a big manor house with only two people living in it would be easy.
