Everywhere else is chill and clammy, misty like Rondon by the docks in autumn. But here it's warm, like a summer day; when he breathes in, he tastes growing things on the air, ferns and leaves and flowers.
After the oppressive dread of the dungeons, Cahara feels like he can finally take a full breath again.
And the air's not the only thing that's warm. Cahara is, too – hot under the collar, a prickling sort of heat that goes all through him. Time is strange in the dungeons. It moves and judders in fits and stops. He's been here days already, or weeks, or something else entirely. It's hard to say.
In a sudden wave of dizzying heat, his body reminds him that however long it's been, in all that time he hasn't had a chance to tend to his own wants even once.
