There was multiple reasons why Zuko shouldn’t want kids, but the most important of them all was because the council keep interfering with his personal life, they insisted he shouldn’t marry a Water Tribe man, they insisted he should find a suitable woman tho marry and have children with and Zuko made it his personal challenge not to act like the Council wanted him to.
