Obscuruses are everyday occurrences for Merlin so he is confused when nobody seems to know what they are. They can't be that uncommon, right? And what's up with calling everything 'dark magic' these days? Things can't be naturally evil!
5 times Merlin didn't explain himself and 1 time he did. I guess technically 3 times, but we don't talk about those do we? AKA Merlin's universe is built different.
