Ever since they had boarded the ships at Alqualondë Maitimo had not been himself. At first he had merely stared off into nothingness for long minutes or even hours on end, lost in his own mind. While concerning, that was nothing unusual. Since departing the shores of Aman Makalaurë had seen many elves struck paralysed during work or brooding with vacant eyes in a dark corner. Even Atar had been subjected to bouts of such distraction.
However, as soon as Maitimo snapped out of it he threw himself into work like a nér possessed.
