По окончании всего, спустя века, Галадриэль призывают в Аман, где в подземелье сидит узник. Узник, над которым наконец грядёт суд. Узник, что будет говорить лишь с одним живым существом: с Галадриэль.
Ей предстоит придумать три испытания, которые Саурон должен пройти и доказать, что достоин искупления. Неудачу потерпеть нельзя. После провала первых двух испытаний Галадриэль приходится положить все силы на третье, и ей это совсем не по душе — ибо третье станет проверкой не только для Саурона, но и для неё самой. В этом самом важном испытании ей придётся пережить всё, что случилось бы, ответь она согласием на его предложение.

Summary
When the forge was empty, and she was alone, Galadriel emptied the contents onto the table.
A full suit of armor. Glistening silver and with accents of gold, still untarnished after centuries of abandonment.
She’d known him as Halbrand then, and he’d made it for her in Numenor, the night before they sailed for Middle Earth. When she still thought of him as a friend.
She’d worn it on the battlefield as they’d fought side by side against their shared enemy. As they’d made a vow to each other before Valar.
“If I could keep it with me always…”
“I felt it too.”
As they’d bound themselves together in eternity.
Little did she know at the time, Sauron had made it for his queen. Absent malice or cruelty, he forged it with what little power his human form had with only one purpose. To protect her.
She may have refused his ring, but she’d taken the armor. And it held a power greater than anything he’d ever forged, before or since.
His love.
And she was going to destroy it.
-or- Galadriel looks into her Mirror for the first time, and finds out why it"s important not to touch the water.

Meanwhile, Celeborn finally makes his return from captivity and of course he"ll help his wife track down her nemesis.
