When Anna-Marie Darkholme accidentally put someone into a coma just by touching them, she ran away from her foster home, hitchhiked to Canada, puppy-dog eyed her way into a strange mutant's trailer, and ended up semi-adopted by him.
Rogue has now been living under the Wolverine's care for three years.
So what happens when the X-men come knocking?
Well, she's a runaway from foster care, living in a country she doesn't have a legitimate visa to be in, and her legal guardian may or may not be a blue, shape-shifting mutant who keeps trying to get her to join a literal terrorist group.
Her educational options are limited.
