The man licked his lips and smiled dangerously, finally looking Buck straight in the eyes.

The smooth and relaxed tone of his voice turned into a lazy purr and Buck felt his knees refusing to keep him upright any longer, while the predatory glint in the man's eyes held him in place, sending a shiver down his spine. Despite being locked in a cell, literally chained, the man's entire demeanor conveyed that this was his territory, that he was in control of this moment... not because he was free to do as he pleased but because he was dangerous enough to be kept in a cage.
