Summary
“O, Fleecy, show me Annabeth Chase,” he manages before he can second-guess himself.
The connection wavers three times before an image of Annabeth appears. She’s sitting at her desk in her dorm, hand halfway across a page as she scribbles, hair up in a messy bun. She looks beautiful, as usual. Her attention is already on him, her shoulders tense and her voice sharp.
“Percy? Are you okay?”
Her voice causes him to slump further, relaxing at the sound. When he speaks, his words come out slurred, and she’ll know immediately he’s hurt. Not reassuring, but there’s not much he can do about it.
“‘Ey, Annabeth,” except it comes out more Be-eth, and then, unhelpfully, “I’m, uh, peachy. Actually, I think something’s wrong. I think I might have a concussion.”
