Jayce lingered, desperation etched into every inch of his posture. “Viktor, I need you—I can’t do this without my partner.”
Viktor’s gaze wavered, something unspoken passing through his eyes before his jaw tightened. “Maybe in your reality,” he spat, voice low and deliberate, each word a precision strike. “But we aren’t partners here, Jayce.” His anger softened, but not enough to mask the ache behind his words. “Not anymore.” He gestured toward the door, his tone final, sharp as a blade. “Now leave.”
Jayce is transported to the alternate reality Ekko and Heimerdinger were in.

And Jayce lets out another laugh, this one a little more free, and says, “Charmer, aren’t you?”
“I like to think so,” Viktor says, and it’s a little sinful on the clock but Jayce is leaning forward despite the glass, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
“I appreciate it,” he says, and it’s got to be a sin the way his voice goes low and genuine, as though the words are just for Viktor. His eyes flick up and down Viktor’s face. “As payback, I offer the notes from Dr. H’s lecture yesterday.”
Viktor huffs out a laugh, shaking his head, and says, “Incredibly smooth. I accept.”
or, viktor works at the uni library coffee shop and jayce talis becomes a regular. the rest is history :)

“Jayce, what are you…"
The door closed behind them. Before Viktor could finish his question, Jayce’s hands were on his shoulders, his lips capturing Viktor’s mouth in a kiss that was anything but gentle.
“Jayce,” he murmured between kisses, “we… ah… someone might…"
“I don’t care,” Jayce muttered, his voice low and rough. His hands slid down to Viktor’s waist, pulling him closer. “I want you".***
PLOT: Jayce and Viktor are young students at the Academy, who meet by an accident. From the very beginning Jayce is truly fascinated by his new colleague. To his surprise, Viktor is not like his other friends. He is distant, mysterious, but also extremely brilliant, good-looking, and—what seems to be the biggest problem—completely resistant to Jayce's personal charm. This casual acquaintance becomes a real challenge for Jayce.
The young Talis has no idea that his relationship with Viktor will turn his life upside down.
