That wasn’t anything particularly new – if he added up the number of bad days in comparison to good, over the course of ten thousand years, he was pretty bad was leading that race by a country mile. They’d just been… less frequent, of late. So the fact this low mood had crept into him, fastened itself around his psyche like a demonic spider, sucking the joy out of everything he looked at-

“Those look rather more like medieval torture devices than instruments of sexual pleasure,” Alastor observed drily, looking over the array of items Vox had procured for his perusal.
Vox paused in the middle of untangling a length of silk rope.
“...Would that make you more or less into it?” Vox shot back, one eyebrow raised, his tone as wry as Alastor's had been. As though having the Radio Demon over at his tower, pawing through various straps, harnesses and machines Alastor couldn't begin to fathom the purpose of was just the sort of thing that happened for him, on a Friday.
As it turned out – it was.

Summary
“You know... maybe having the King of Hell into you isn't the worst thing in the world...” Vox mused, all of the tension returning to Alastor's frame in one go, like a children's toy having the strings through its arms and legs pulled taut.
A crackle of static bled into the air, his voice going dangerously low.
“Ha – what are you implying, Picture Box?” Alastor asked, leaning back on Vox's lap, narrowing his eyes at the other man's screen. The apologetic, contrite look he had been expecting to find was conspicuously absent – Vox looked thoughtful.
Like he was having an idea.

Alright – maybe delighted wasn't exactly the right word.
Fucking ecstatic, over the moon, beside himself with glee – all of those phrases would do a better job at describing his feelings about finally knowing how to twist Alastor's radio dial in just the right way.

Summary
When a soft knock came at the door, it was night. Darkness – or as near to it as it ever got, in Hell – had fallen, the crimson light sneaking in through the gaps in the curtains dark and muted.
Alastor didn't want to answer – wanted to curl more tightly around Lucifer's small, still frame, wait for him to wake. He was still breathing, as slowly as ever. Put a glass dome over him and he would be the Snow White from the fairy tales, albeit missing the lips as red as roses and hair as black as ebony.
The knock at the door sounded again, and Alastor reluctantly pushed himself up onto an elbow, his ears seeming perpetually stuck to his skull. He couldn't get them to lift, and his mouth was starting to ache as his body fought to abandon the smile he'd become known for over his long years in Hell.
