Summary
Tim was born wrong. He knows this. It’s not offensive or anything, it's just a fact. You see, since birth he has been different. He was born with a genetic disease called “in perpetuum soli”, but since not everyone speaks Latin it's commonly referred to as “pack-less”.
AKA Tim is led to believe he will die at a young age from a young age, but there hasn't actually been a lot of research about this.

Summary
After Tim tries to save Batman from himself as he's self-destructing in his grief, Tim is severely injured (to the point of permanent injury). Now Tim is deciding that he will have to become something else to save Batman and Gotham. To honor his hero Robin (the deceased Jason), Tim will become a shadowy figure who builds a team of Misfit heroes to combat Gotham's darkness and Batman's grief.
When Red Hood debuts in Gotham, there will be some confusion on Hood's part. Who are these Misfits? Why do they not get along with Batman? What is going on? But once he meets the Misfits and their leader, he makes a lot of realizations as he grows closer to Sentry and his people.Bookmarked by MooredMermaid

Tim’s been watching Batman and Robin for a while, okay? He understands what crime is. But then Batman turns a guy over to the police for reasons Tim doesn’t understand at all. It’s not a crime to hit your kids so they know what they did wrong, right? So Tim asks Batman about it. And, well, to say it quickly goes sideways is an understatement, AKA, what will later be referred to as “that time Tim tried blackmailing Batman to not call Child Protective Services.”
