(The realization came as a warm molasses trickle throughout Clark when he was sixteen. There was no eureka! moment. Only a defining phrase, like Clark had finally figured out the name of a color he had seen all his life.)

     

    After a disappointing trip to visit Bruce in college, Clark returns home, dejected. Bruce wants to rectify that.
